Celebrate the Coronation with a classy cocktail that is a particular favourite of our’s – pear & rosemary gin fizz. If you have a bottle at hand, replace the tonic/soda with champagne.
- 60ml Helen Browning’s Sea Buckthorn & Pear organic gin
- 125ml chilled pear juice
- Juice of 1 lemon, plus lemon slices, to serve
- rosemary sprigs
- 60ml chilled elderflower tonic or soda
Chill cocktail shaker, gin, tonic and glasses in the freezer 30 minutes before serving so everything is cold.
Put plenty of ice, gin and the pear juice in the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Add a good squeeze of lemon (take the opportunity to taste, and add more if you like the sharpness), and stir with the woody end of a rosemary spring.
Pour in to chilled glasses, and top with soda/tonic/fizz just before serving. A sprig of rosemary with each glass will add an aromatic warmth.
