This super-quick filled croissant is an indulgent weekend treat. Taking just 8 minutes, you won’t take up much time either. For ultimate flavour, use our great-tasting organic unsmoked back bacon, which is made without nitrites or nitrates, cured with salt and flavoured with organic fruits and vegetable extracts.
To make each croissant you’ll need:
- A couple of rashers of Helen Browning’s Organic back bacon (and a little olive oil to cook)
- 3-4 slices of brie (we used Simon Weaver’s Organic Cotswold Brie, available from our Bishopstone Stores)
- 1 croissant
- A couple of spoons of chutney (we used our favourite chunky Carley’s Organic Red Onion Marmalade, also available from our Bishopstone Stores).
Preheat your oven to 160°. Heat a little oil in a pan, add your bacon and cook how you like it. Slice some brie (2-3 slices per croissant) adding it to the pan for a few seconds if you want it nice and gooey! Slice open your croissant, layer on your chutney, then add the cooked bacon topped with the brie (adding a little more brie if you fancy).Pop it on a baking tray and place in the centre of the heated oven for 6-7 minutes. Indulge!
