I’m currently studying Business Management with Marketing at Harper Adams University and have come to join the team here at Eastbrook Farm as a marketing and operations assistant for my placement year. Home for me is Cambridgeshire, where I enjoy family countryside walks with the dogs, riding my horse and cooking with my dad.
In my first few weeks here I’ve been learning the ropes and what my role consists of. So far, I’ve been packaging meat box orders, writing recipes for the website, adding new products to the wholesale website and creating content for the social media pages. I’ve been settling in, getting to know the area and the team over our weekly staff lunches at the Royal Oak – a definite highlight!
Last week I joined in on one of our farm safaris which was really interesting. I enjoyed learning more about the farm, the animals and everything that goes on behind the scenes to get to the meat to the boxes I send out! I’ve also been planning and creating our campaign for Organic September which begins at the start of September. Keep your eyes peeled for information about that and what we are doing down here at the farm to celebrate! Christmas planning is also now underway, which is an exciting process to be involved in.
