As pious lentil eating organic zealots (that’s us), we have to warn you that 90% of the food that you’re paying for here is made from local organic ingredients, farmed and grown by people who don’t want to find melting ice floes in their back garden in the next 25 years. So none of us use artificial pesticides, or fertilisers, or GM stuff. We don’t keep animals in cages. We try to make sure the place is better when we finish than when we started, even if it costs a bit more and you get dirt under your fingernails. Pious, I did warn you.

We also run 12 rather smart hotel rooms, just in case you’d rather stay for a bit longer than you’d planned; take a look through the hole in the hedge at the end of the car park. The stain of the builders is slowly being eradicated and replaced in the best possible taste!

Please inform us of any dietary requirements and we will do our best to accommodate you

We add a 10% service charge on all tables of six people or more. Your choice whether to pay it!

We’re now combining  everything—the pigs, the cows and calves, the landscapes, the wildlife—deer, owls, badgers, flora and fauna generally, although not all of it appears on cue.  Our colleague James Andrews, expert at wildlife photography among other skills, will lead the ‘Safari’ tours, in the red land rover
