Helen Browning’s family has farmed at Eastbrook Farm for 65+ years and takes pride in forward-thinking farming methods, seeking out ways to farm that are as good as they possibly can be for people, farm animals and nature. A traditional organic London Dry Gin hand distilled in beautiful copper stills in the heart of rural Oxfordshire, inspired by the botanicals and flora found on Helen’s organic farm on the heritage Ridgeway.
The first smell is delicate floral aromas of wild flower meadows and orchards. On tasting, herbaceous and herbal notes, wild berries and fresh honey. Great for sipping neat on or off the rocks or combining with your favourite mixer.

Organic Blackcurrant Sylvan Spirits

A rich and full-bodied spirit bursting with aromatic blackcurrants harvested from agroforestry on Helen’s organic family farm in Wiltshire. This innovative version of a classic cassis has less sugar added for a brighter, fresher taste.
Made with organic spirit macerated with fresh, ripe blackcurrants – and absolutely no preservatives, additives or artificial flavourings.
Sip on it’s own, or mix with sparkling wine or fizz for a classic Kir. Dilute with tonic or soda for a zesty, refreshing low alcohol, low calorie spritz. Delicious as a base for cocktails, drizzle over ice cream or use in cooking.

Jerk Chicken Burger

The punchy notes of juniper are really bolstered by rich fruity blackcurrant in the sweet-sour combo. Keep short and intense if you wish, or top with soda or ginger beer if you fancy a longer vibrant serve.

Bramble Cocktail

If you have fresh blackcurrants to hand, try muddling them in gin before mixing. Put a few berries in a glass, gin added. With the end of a wooden spoon gently squash the berries to release some of their juice. Pour gin in your cocktail shakes and continue with the recipe.

  • 50ml Gin
  • 25ml Blackcurrant Spirit
  • 15ml Lemon Juice
  • 25ml Sugar Syrup (or 1 tablespoon of sugar and 25ml of water)
  • Fresh blackcurrants or blackberries to garnish, optional
  • Mint, optional

Mix the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup (or water and sugar) in a cocktail shaker. Strain into a glass filled with ice. Add the blackcurrant spirit slowly pouring down the inside edges of the glass.

Garnish with a few fresh or frozen blackcurrants if available, and a sprig of mint.
