Helen Browning’s organic pork meatballs work a treat in this wonderfully wholesome, quick ‘n’ easy midweek supper, which feels so indulgent. Serve with nutty brown organic rice (or the white version). Also fab with noodles, which are quicker to cook. Recipe serves 4:

  • 2 packs of Helen Browning’s Organic Frozen* Pork Meatballs (defrosted in the fridge)
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1-2 tsp minced garlic (dependent on taste)
  • Up to 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • Sesame seeds and sliced spring onions to serve

In a small bowl or measuring cup, combine all of your sauce ingredients except the water and cornstarch. Add the oil to a large frying pan and heat on low, then pour in your sauce mix. Meanwhile, combine the cornstarch and water in a small bowl and pour in the pan while stirring continuously. When the sauce begins to thicken add your defrosted meatballs to the pan, moving around gently to coat with sauce until browned and cooked. Serve on your rice or noodles and top with a sprinkling of sesame seeds and sliced spring onions.
