“These hot dogs looked textbook in colour and were nicely uniform in shape. They didn’t look too processed and had a very pleasant lightly smoked aroma. They were juicy in the mouth with a good amount of fat and the meat had been well and evenly ground. We loved the level of seasoning with a great well balanced kick of pepper which went well with the sweetness of the meat, We found them very moorish particularity because of the sweet and savoury balance. The skins’ texture added a pleasing level of resistance when we bit in – just what we want in a hot dog.”

These sausages are very versatile, they are happily griddled, barbequed, fried or heated in very hot water. They are perfect for the BBQ but equally work well as a main meal with mash and veg. They are ideal for home freezing and make a great stand-by for ravenous children and unexpected guests.

Cooking instructions

Grill: Place under a pre-heated medium grill for 4 minutes (from frozen allow 8 minutes on low-medium heat) turning once. Fry: Heat 10ml of oil in frying pan over a medium heat and fry for 5 minutes (from frozen allow 12 minutes on low heat) turning once. In hot water: poach gently in very hot water for 5 mins.
