Description
Helen Browning’s family has farmed at Eastbrook Farm for 65+ years and takes pride in forward-thinking farming methods, seeking out ways to farm that are as good as they possibly can be for people, farm animals and nature. In this way, the farm has been experimenting with agroforestry. The farm, therefore, is an oasis of wild birds, deer and a vibrant insect population alongside free-range livestock that all thrive among the pollen and flowers of sea buckthorn, dog rose, wild crab apple and pear trees in the agroforestry and 50 miles of hedgerows.
CEO of the Soil Association, Helen Browning says, “Our farm is at the heart of everything we do. Our agroforestry project is already making a positive impact on the soil on which we depend and the wildlife that live on the land. Now, excitingly, we can capture Eastbrook Farm in a bottle – and it’s delicious!”
