Christmas & New Year 2019

On Christmas Eve we are open as usual, and will likely be very busy.

On Christmas Day we’re open for festive drinks and general merriment from
11am until 2.00pm at which point we will be closing the pub
and giving our staff the rest of the day off. 

  This means there will be no Christmas Day food service
except for breakfast for our hotel guests.

On Boxing Day and New Year’s Day we will be serving lunch from midday to 5pm
with no evening food service.

Bed & breakfast will be available, with breakfast served between 8am – 11.00am on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. We have a minimum stay of two nights between 23 December – 26 December. Please note the pub will be closed from 2.00pm on Christmas Day.

Booking is a sensible suggestion.

Pub open until midnight

 Christmas Day – Wednesday 25 December
Open for drinks 11.00am – 2.00pm
Closed for food all day

 Boxing Day – Thursday 26 December
Open for food 12.00pm – 5.00pm
Open for drinks 12.00pm – 8.00pm

 New Year’s Eve – Tuesday 31 December
Lunch 12.00pm – 2.30pm
Dinner 6.00pm – 9.00pm
Pub open until midnight

 New Year’s Day – Wednesday 1 January
Open for food 12.00pm – 5.00pm
Open for drinks 12.00pm – 8.00pm

Mushroom Explosion

Although the weather has felt pretty miserable over the last few weeks it’s been absolutely perfect for mushrooms – there’s been an explosion in the local area and James, our photographer from ProHides, has been out in the rain capturing images.  We don’t want you to miss out though so if you’ve got a camera, big or small, why not join him on Sunday 3rd of November for a photowalk to see some of these wonders for yourself.

Farm Safaris for livestock, landscapes and wildlife at Eastbrook Farm

We’re now combining  everything—the pigs, the cows and calves, the landscapes, the wildlife—deer, owls, badgers, flora and fauna generally, although not all of it appears on cue.  Our colleague James Andrews, expert at wildlife photography among other skills, will lead the ‘Safari’ tours, in the red land rover
