Housekeeping our mini eccentric hotel, combined with hospitality, admin, and some simple maintenance is one of the cornerstones of making this place, and this team, great.

Since our last outstanding housekeeper left in August (moved elsewhere in the UK after 3 years here), we need to reinvent this position and attract someone who works to the highest standards—and who wants to be part of a team that delivers far more than customers expect.

We are offering a minimum of 30 paid hours per week, five or six days including weekend work; can be done anytime between 8am and 3pm to suit you, almost; involves managing our laundry/linen supplies, cleaning pub and hotel rooms (we have 12 but rarely do 12 need cleaning on the same day—usually 4-8 rooms); restocking hotel bathrooms and working with our specific suppliers; if needed there’s also some simple bar and kitchen work, and for the very enthusiastic, taking on the ‘housekeeping’ of our small semi-wild campsite on the farm. The team leader will also work with other part-time colleagues regarding weekly work rotas.

This is a physical job, combined with the mental agility and confidence needed to work with suppliers, guests, and fellow team members.

Initially, we are offering £12/hour, increasing to £13 after 3 months of good team membership here; paid directly into your bank, monthly; share of cash tips on days you work; statutory pension when applicable. The right person will be a salaried member of the team after 6 months.
