The Ridgeway, that runs through the farm, is the perfect trail to take you miles without touching a road. For a circular route, drop down onto the B4000 to return from White Horse Hill or beyond, along a wonderfully wiggly and scenic route.
We will continue to make the farm ever more riding friendly, with easy to open gates, and even some small jumps here and there. Let us know if you want to bring your horse, and we will do our best to accommodate. We should be better set up for this next year, if there seems to be demand.
Check out the Visit Wiltshire website for more information about riding in Wiltshire.
We will be marking up a 10k route over the downs, and a half marathon too for those with energy to spare. The perfect way to start your weekend, and work up an appetite.
The Ridgeway Revenge starts from fields on the farm. Find out more about the half marathon and 10K trail run.
Although the weather has felt pretty miserable over the last few weeks it’s been absolutely perfect for mushrooms – there’s been an explosion in the local area and James, our photographer from ProHides, has been out in the rain capturing images. We don’t want you to miss out though so if you’ve got a camera, big or small, why not join him on Sunday 3rd of November for a photowalk to see some of these wonders for yourself.
We’re now combining everything—the pigs, the cows and calves, the landscapes, the wildlife—deer, owls, badgers, flora and fauna generally, although not all of it appears on cue. Our colleague James Andrews, expert at wildlife photography among other skills, will lead the ‘Safari’ tours, in the red land rover
