Stockperson/Tractor Driver

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Eastbrook Farm, a 1350 acre downland farm which has been fully organic since the 1980s. We are famous for our British Saddleback pigs & also milk 180 British Friesian cows with a further 400 head of dairy young stock & beef / veal animals. Around 500 acres of cereals/break crops are also grown in a rotation with the outdoor pig herd.

This vacancy would appeal to someone wishing to expand their knowledge of the organic farming sector, with the opportunity to become involved in all aspects of the livestock enterprises. This is very much a "hands-on" role working in a very busy farming environment. Tractor and telescopic handler driving experience is essential. You will not be afraid of the numerous challenges of working on a mixed enterprise farm.  We offer a competitive wage, cottage in the village and a fun working environment with a dedicated team.

how to find us:

Bishopstone is about 8 miles east of Swindon, 10 miles west of Wantage. In the village is a large duckpond. If the pond is on the right, the next lane on the left is Cues Lane. The Royal Oak is 50 yards down there on the right. The car park is beyond it and round the back.

Please be aware that unfortunately it is a difficult pub to access for disabled users, but our staff are willing to assist wherever possible and suitable. Call ahead and ask us, if you can.
